Druridge Pools lies two miles from Cresswell Village. Site is a former opencast coal mine and is now a haven for wildlife. A small cache on land next to Druridge Pools. The site is accessed from the National Trust owned Druridge Links which has free parking and is open to the public all year. Access is by marked public right of way from Druridge Links across boardwalked paving and some hard grassy areas past 2 bird hides. The cache contains a note book, pencil and some little goodies to swap.
You are looking for a small cache in the form of a plastic container slightly bigger than a film canister. The cache has a log book, a pencil and some small items to swap. Please replace lid carefully to stop water intake. Ensure cache is well hidden once found. Be aware: potential muggle activity in peak season.
