Trail Boss Multi-Cache
Borst68: All good things must come to an end. I visited Trail Boss today. Leg 1 is missing. The trail from leg 1 to leg 2 is largely missing. Didn't bother with leg 3. Leg 4 was degrading back in 2016. i can't imagine its much good now. Final was frozen in its icy lair. Too much work to bring this one back from the dead. Its time. I thank the 20 hearty souls that braved NVP to earn the title "Trail Boss". I am very pleased with the lengthy logs and favorite points bestowed on this cache. Archiving will open up this area to some fresh new hides. Thanks again to everyone who signed the log.

Multi. Nature View.
Nature View Park is, depending on your point of view, either an immense, beautiful wilderness in Amherst or a 1,300 acre God forsaken swamp. Either way, your task is to tour this hidden gem and find the final. I will not tell you what exactly your are looking for or how many legs there are. Your sojourn will likely cover 5 or more miles (round trip). The cache is rated a 4.5/4 for a reason. It is not a cache-n-dash. It is not meant to be easy.
To find this cache, you will need to utilize much of the trail system of NVP. Some bushwhacking is required but it is rarely more than a few hundred feet. There are easy and hard ways to get to each leg of the cache.
There is also a bonus cache, since it seemed mean to run someone all over this park for a single smiley. Look in the log book for the bonus coordinates.
Parking is available on Phillip Drive or Christine Drive. There are probably other suitable places as well.
As with everything in life, know your limits. This cache is not for everyone. Poison Ivy and thorns are prevalent here. So are great hordes of mosquitoes. Bug spray is a good idea. Long pants are a REALLY good idea. The trails are often wet here, except when they are frozen. From time to time they do dry out though... Cache was planned and placed during the winter so winter caching is possible. If the swamp is not frozen or dried out, you will have to wade through it to get to some of the legs. Tall boots are a plus.
Note on coordinates: I visited each leg multiple times. GPSr performance is poor in some areas and will make your task more difficult. Other legs should have good coords. Legs are hidden in the obvious target when there is only one prime target. Other areas have multiple prime locations. You may have to widen your search area, especially if GPSr performance is poor.
Do you have what it takes to be Trail Boss of NVP?
