Tall grass and water hazards await you as you hike to the cache, Travel carefully and most of all have fun.
The cache received its name as I have witnessed first hand that this is a great place for hawks to fly through to get their goods for dinner.
This is one of my favorite areas in River Falls and I decided to place one more cache along this great river trail system.
Be careful on your way to this cache. You will have to cross the stream to get to the goods. Head towards the goods and stop for a quick lunch at "The Cookout" placed by Spike007. There is an area to cross close by the cookout, you will just have to hop to a few small islands to get to the other side. There are a couple of good beaver dams further up stream that you could cross if you choose not to cross by the cookout cache.
The footing can be a little tricky after you cross the stream and you will have walk through tall grass on your way to the cache.
I spotted a few trout in the stream so if you fish this a bonus.
This is nature at its finest, if your looking for a peaceful natural setting, you will enjoy this hike.
