Tribute to my dad. Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

BigBadBari: Somebody claimed GZ as private property, so Rockman900 removed it for me. I will place a second tribute soon, I hope.

How Geocaching Works

Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer.

Geocache Description:

Duct taped Igloo/Thermos in the woods. Good size for TBs. Sorry we don't have much to start for FTF, since most was given away at the West Side Breakfast the day before. This is a beautiful area in need of some CITO. Please respect this area around the cache.

Also, please be careful of ticks. A cacher got bitten by one retreiving this cache. I marked it as not suitable for children or dogs to accomodate.

You'll have plenty of cover behind the trees here and the parking is plentiful.

This is a tribute cache I am placing as a memorial to my father, Michael R. Carreon.

My dad was a freelance photographer, born in Utah, raised in Colorado, died in New Mexico. He was full of character and enjoyed good jokes, mostly off-colored ones. He would've liked geocaching, except he died January 22, 1996. He always wanted to live in Oregon but it never happened. Now I'm here, where he wanted to be, doing something he'd enjoy.

My favorite dad story is when he told us he knew Chuck Norris and later proved it by introducing my brother and sister to him on two separate occasions.

Please post a short story about your own dad.
