Geocache Description:

The Ritchie and Famous need our support, they are just not getting it their own way. Only 1 visit in 6 months, our Ritchie and Famous need your support, they are craving your attention before you know it, they will be hoping out of cars in short dresses without underwear on.

I was moving a cache that is a part of the series on this walk, when I attempted the cache Lifestyles of the Ritchie and Famous and just thought this was one of the most enjoyable caches that i have completed, but further investigation revealed that I was second to find and it had been published 6 months earlier. I knew that this cache had to be made enticing, so have added in 4 other caches, the others have personnel meaning. Their is still chances for others to add caches as well.

This cache is barely more then a few metres from the road at the base of a tree, but hidden from the track.

The walk or bike ride for these 5 caches is 7.5kms up hill and what goes up must come down. Really the only parking is on the Acheron Way and from their you walk up road 15. Their is no phone reception and in some places it is steep. Mountain bike accessible, but because of the rocks, sticks and bark across the track, I am very wary against the inexperienced bike rider trying it. Ideally it is a great overnight hike with camping on Mt Ritchie. Most of the east side of the track is water catchment and cant be entered.

**Warning** While some of the caches are only a couple of kms from the parking, their is no phone reception and the first 7.5kms is up hill. This takes you to the final cache in the series, then you have 7.5kms back. The gradients are constant but not too steep but the unfit will find them steep. Overall the tracks are smooth and maintained for fire access, but have a lot of leaf and bark litter across them. You may choose to do only 1 or 2 caches, but in attempting these caches please be sure you have a level of fitness to meet the demands of a constant up hill walk before turning around. The terrain rating is based from the car parking spot not the previous cache.
