An extension to the heritage trail walk and is a micro cache hidden along a path following the river Severn.
The path has been worn away at parts, and does have a weathered old bridge over the boat yard just past the caches location. Children may need to be watched as it is a long drop down.
This one is a bit higher than it used to be (to save it from being washed away in floods) than the fence, approximately 7 feet up from the main path but still reachable from fence line
This is a pleasant walk that I do most weeks with our two geohounds. A great place to walk the dogs and follow the fields round to the Worcester Lido, which can be used as a parking location for this cache.
This geocache series takes in the Northwick Heritage Trail and is part of our extension route.
It is a waymarked walk; simply follow the 'Swan' symbol and direction arrows and you won't get lost.
This circular walk starts just outside the suburbs of north Worcester and follows the scenic River Severn to the hamlet of Bevere Green. The route continues to Northwick and returns to the car park via a rural trackway. Beautifully illustrated interpretation panels mark points along the route of historical and archaeological interest and provide information on the natural environment and wildlife.
Terrain – Mostly level, riverside walking. One short steep section. Unsurfaced paths which may be muddy after periods of rain.
