This cache was placed with permission from the cemetery caretaker with the following request:
PLEASE DO NOT WALK ON THE GRAVESITES - many are very old and may not support your weight. Be respectful and careful.
This cache is located near the highest ground in the historic cemetery behind St. Peters Episcopal Church. It is a micro cache contained in a waterproof credit card holder.
Many of the residents of this historic cemetery were founders of the church and of Fernandina. Take some time to view the monuments - great photo opportunities. If you have not had an opportunity, go into the church and in the back are some newspapers that log the history of the church. You will probably recognize some names from the history in the cemetery.
