Civil War 1 Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

thunder_monk: This was my oldest cache and had been found by most people in the area and a lot who were not so I decided it is time to archive it. I am also making room for another cache placed in the same area. Thanks to all who did this cache and I hope that you enjoyed it. This is the first cache I placed and the first cache I have archived. It is like losing an old friend [:(].

Geocache Description:

The first part of the multicache was destroyed due to the city mowing the area of the cache...So I have converted this to a Traditional one stop cache.

The coordinates have been modified to give you the location of what used to be the 2nd part of the multicache. I had a WAAS lock on the satelites and I believe this is a good reading

The original Part 2 of this cache is a large clear tupperware container with a blue rim. It initially contains the following:
Log book and pencils, camera (please use both), Tourist Map of Phelps County, 2 phamplets (one pertaining to the civil war and the other to the city of Rolla), small flags both Union and Confederate, 2 unfired but authentic civil war bullets (58 and 69 caliber), a commemrative civil war event fan, commemrative 1860 Courthouse Christmas ornament and finally a T shirt from our first Civil War reenactment. (Please only take one Civil War item and give more people a chance to get some of these goodies)

This cache is meant to commemorate the Civil War in Missouri and in particular the city of Rolla. This cache is starting out with a Civil War theme but I do not expect it to stay that way. Feel free to replace with your own items and if you happen to have something that would go with the theme that would be great to.

The caches are both in fairly high traveled areas so please be sure that they are covered well and use discretion in finding them.

This is my family's very first cache so I would appreciate any feedback that you more experienced cachers can offer.

We plan on placing a few more caches later in the spring so be watchful :)
