Geocache Description:

This cache is located on the UMass Dartmouth Campus and is the first in a series of four (4) caches to be placed around the first-year residence halls. I placed this cache during a snowstorm, so the hiding spot should hopefully stand in any weather conditions.

The terrain is rated a 2 right now because you have to walk off into the woods a bit and there is not clear trail to this spot. There is an easy way to access this spot and much more difficult ways. It looks like there may be some thorns in the area, but I didn't have to go through any to reach the cache site (Again, this was placed in the snow, so anything 12" off the ground or lower was not visible.)

One-day parking passes are available for guests at the parking office in the Campus Center (41 37.741'N, 071 00.259'W) but it is unlikely that you'll be ticketed as long as you park in a legal space that isn't designated with some sort of restriction (Administrator, handicap, State Vehicle, etc.)

Public Transportation to campus is available from regional companies. Most public transportation drops off at the campus center.

This series of cache's is done with university approval and they have been placed so that you will avoid the majority of students as they move about. (read: less chance for a cache to be muggled!)

A weekend morning is probably the best time to search for this cache as most of the students sleep in on Saturdays and Sunday.

Please sprinkle a bit of natural cover on this site once you uncover it. The cache should be visible, but please don't just leave it laying out completely in the open.
