Geocache Description:

Unusual spot in Leicestershire within woods, easy to get to, views over Woodhouse Eaves village. The Beacon (highest point in Leicestershire) is a short walk away. Just 5 mins drive from M1 junction 23. Estimated time to complete this cache, 15 mins if all goes well.

The cache can only be found by firstly getting to the coordinates and then by following a few cryptic clues. Cache is located in hilly woodland with excellent walks and good views over nearby villages. Five minutes walk from a paying car park, although you can park on the road for free. It's also part of a working farm, so lots of walks and other things to see. Directions: Stand near where the stone wheel once turned with your back to an oak door and look to the Stone Sentinel. Visible in winter, but in summer, it will be hidden in undergrowth. Like a good child, it looks up to its elders, so approach, look it very closely in the eye, and look beyond to its larger parent. Find the parent and climb down. Find the eye, partially blind. With your right hand over the eye, look to the left, then search for the eye in the oak tree - the oak eye will be watching you from across a path sloping downhill. Let the old oak watch you as you approach it, but just before you shake hands, surprise it by greeting the tree behind you on your right. Relax with this tree and it will reveal a secret - look downwards and your final target will be framed by the upright branches of its friend. Walk towards the target area and proceed slightly further and down hill. Find the guardian wooden eye and proceed 20ft further down the hill - cache is located behind stonework.
