Geocache Description:

The NorthWest Arkansas Cachers would like to invite you to join us for our third annual Dash for the Cache at Orchards Park Pavillion in Bentonville from 3 to 6 PM on Saturday April 21st.

In addition to providing the opportunity to meet other local and area geocachers and to swap war stories, this event will also wrap up the day's "Dash for the Cache" race. For more information on the "Dash for the Cache", go to the NWA Cachers Forum site.

An alternate site for event info (rules and such) Is Here

Of course, you may attend the event even if you don't participate in the race.

The NWA Cachers will be providing hamburgers and hot dogs. We ask that everyone bring a 2 liter bottle of soda and a side dish to share with the group.

Please post your "will attend", with the number in your party, so we can ensure that we have everything needed and that we have enough meat and how many to plan for.

During the time leading up to the event, we ask that everyone think back and reflect on the time that you've been a geocacher. When you sign in for the event, you'll be asked to write down something that is unique to you as a geocacher. For example: One day while geocaching: "I got bit by a copperhead while going after a first to find. And, I got the FTF!!", or "I got a speeding ticket trying to get a First to Find", or "I chose my last vehicle because of the ground clearance for those remote caches". If you attended the last "Dash for the Cache", we had a great time with these "One day while geocaching" statements.

This year, we’ll also be having a Creative Cache Container Contest. Submit a creatively camouflaged cache container for judgement by your peers. Each container entered will earn an additional chance at a door prize.

If you'd like to donate door prizes, please bring them with you to the event.

Seating at the picnic pavilion is limited, so bring your lawn chairs.

Add this listing to your watchlist as we'll be making changes to it throughout the time leading up to the event.

Don't forget to be thinking of your "One day while geocaching" statement. We'll be asking everyone to write theirs down on a 3x5 card which will be the official event log-in.
If you haven't already done so, don't forget to read the rules for the "Dash for the Cache" contest.

Look for the list of caches to be placed on the NWAC forums, on Google docs and on the NWA Cachers Facebook page on Friday evening. Print out a copy to record your DFTC cache finds and bring to the event with you. Cut-off time for submitting your entry is 4PM.

The cache list has been uploaded to the NWAC forums at the link above and to Google Docs here
