Brady Burial Grounds Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

lakedawgs: I checked and the container is gone, probably taken during clean-up of the area. Rather than replace, I am going to archive since activity is slow on this oldie (12+ years!).

Geocache Description:

** Do NOT cross the fence **
There is plenty of room to park a car and the cache is within a few feet. But you do NOT need to cross the fence to access the container.

While driving home from a day of Geocaching with a great friend (hey anabel!!), I had the urge to hide another find to thank those that made our day so enjoyable. As the GPSr guided me home, I noticed a cemetery marking on the map I hadn't seen before, so I detoured a bit and ran across a wide open field with a DNR Historic Cemetery Marker sign for the Brady Burial Grounds, dated 1841.

I attempted an Internet search to find out more about this area, but have come up empty so far. If any seekers know anything about this area, I would be very curious to know more. The gravestones are not visible from the cache, but you can see them from the other side while driving on Brookville Road.

In the meantime... happy hunting!

NOTE (3/8/12): I'm not sure why someone felt the need to add a new container, but you are NOT seeking a plastic pill bottle. I know a lot of people have already signed this incorrect log, and I will leave the find logs as they stand through 3/7/12. But effective 3/8/12, I will not accept any logs except those that are on the true log... which is inside a magnetic nano.

NOTE (12/27/13): Replaced container today... you're now looking for a preform tube, with an "Official Geocache" label on the side. I've also moved it a bit further along the structure to avoid sending seekers into the thorns. The original coords are still good, it's only a couple of feet further down.
