Several years ago there was a cache in this general area. A
fellow cacher and I went to get it on a late summer afternoon. As
often happens, a summer storm blew up just as we were parking. We
jumped out and grabbed the cache and brought it back to the car to
wait out the storm. We had some good laughs and snacks and soon the
raindrops settled to a trickle and the bright sun came out. Well,
right there in front of us in the big, open field was a massive
double rainbow. My partner got a picture or two. Maybe he will post
them here. In the meantime, I posted a random pic from the web of a
double rainbow. They are a sight to behold. On this particular day
they brought smiles and happiness with them.
On a completely different note--The house down the road
frightens me a bit and it IS a dead end road. I placed this cache
after dark one night and I kept hearing a "grunting" sound from
across the river. I suppose it was a bullfrog. But it was awfully
cold for a frog..I just took an avg of 200 readings FAST and ran
back to the car..My advice--turn around at the cache site rather
than drive down to the neighbors yard..
Although it is not a requirement, it would be great if you would
post a pic of something colorful with your log. It does not have to
be a rainbow, does not have to be a pic you have taken, and can be
a cartoon, or graphic..just as long as it is colorful. Let's make
this a happy cache page to visit!
Congrats to Westswan on FTF!
