This can be accomplished in the day but the trees aren't nearly as spooky then. There are lots of ways into this area, but I prefer parking across the river on Whitemud Rd NW, crossing the footbridge and then hiking in. If you're a member of the country club, you coul even park just a few hundred meters away. Whichever way you come, enjoy your walk.
