Geocache Description:

CACHE IS NOT AT THE LISTED COORDINATES. THIS IS AN OFFSET CACHE. This is a pretty little spring and tiny park in the heart of downtown Talladega. There is some interesting historical information at the site. Go to the listed coordinates and take a compass bearing of 128 degrees and walk 265 feet to locate the cache. You can ask your GPS to take you there by projecting a waypoint. Here's how using a Garmin E-Trex: On the main menu of your machine, go to Mark a Waypoint and enter the coordinates on the cache page. Then press the menu button on the side of the machine. A menu pops up that includes "Project a Waypoint." Click it. Near the bottom of the new page that comes up, enter in 128 degrees and then along the same line, enter 265 feet. You will most likely have to click on the distance portion to change it to feet. Now the GPS will take you right to the cache. And now you know how to project a waypoint, which is a very useful function in geocaching.
