Will you see the 'Beast of Bumpy' on your hunt for this bonus cache?
In 2004, Dorsetbigcats.org received a report from a couple who had recently walked the River Lym footpath. They had stopped to watch rabbits in the field known locally as 'Bumpy' when they saw an animal trotting down the slope towards them.
5-6ft long, with a tail around 2ft in length, the couple initially took the animal to be a large dog, before realising that its movements were more akin to that of a cat.
A patchy dark brown in colouration, the animal "came to within 50m of us when it noticed us and - upon seeing us - it turned 90 degrees without stopping, and disappeared into some cover...'
The creature has not been seen since, though big cat sightings continue to be reported throughout Dorset...
This hide is physically challenging compared to the previous caches in the series, so please show caution and take care on both the approach and retreat from the cache site. At time of placement, the cache contained a logbook and biro in watertight bag, and various swaps. Please swap for items of equal or better value and desirability.
