This is no longer a 2-part cache, as this unique container has also been stolen from us. The new coords reflect the location that used to be the 2nd location and is now the sole location. The difficulty has been downgraded for this reason.
Bring your binoculars. There was an indigo bunting sighted not far from here at one time, the only one ever confirmed in Siskiyou County. You don't have to know an indigo bunting from a hammerhead shark to use this perfect answer if anyone asks you what you're doing here.
Just south of the location there is a rise in the road that we call Crane Overlook because of the many sandhill cranes you can see here from the road during the spring. You can also see bald eagles, tundra swans, snow geese, green-winged teals and many more wonderful birds throughout the various seasons.
The cache is an Altoids container that will accept small trade items and is an easy find. It contains an unregistered, unused Travel Bug for the FTF. (We're pretty sure we know who that will be......)
