A Total Eclipse of the Sun II Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

offline.cacher: The general rule reviewers use to archive a cache is that the cache owner has been notified (through a log entry) by the reviewer and that no response has been forthcoming. This is the case with this cache. As a result it has been archived.
If the owner would like to discuss this issue, please contact me through my gmail address. Don't forget to include the GC code for the cache.

Thanks

Geocache Description:

There is a possible volleyball court close by which may increase the difficulty level when occupied. Place with permit # 19. Because of the cache size, the permit number may not be on the cache. Since this is a new name, a new location, and a new container, finders of the original cache may claim this one as well after finding it. This is in a Hampton city park, so no caching when the gates are closed or between sunrise and sunset or during stated closing hours.

About 1:40 PM on 7 March 1970 my wife Mickie and I saw one of the most awesome things possible to see on Earth - a total eclipse of the sun. On the advice of the Bethel High School science department we went to Gosnold's Hope Park to view it. This cache is in honor of that event. The cache container is a small painted and camoed plastic pill bottle with a Mickie pathtag for FTF . BYOP. The cache rests on a support but is tethered. Please return the cache to its support and hide the tether as much as possible. Please use stealth when muggle presence is heavy and return the cache exactly as found. Park is NOT open at night.

Congrats to MermerCheese&LugNut for their first FTF at 0746 26 Jan 2012. I wish you many more.
