Cache is located on the northern end of the Orange Trail in the Wing’s Section of the South Branch Reservation in Readington Twp.
Parking for a few cars is located on Deer Path Rd. at N40° 32.911 W074° 50.922. Pick up the Orange Trail from the road, or you could park at Deer Path Park and hike in (more than a mile) from the Readington Trail.
Cache is a 3x5 lock and lock container stocked with some swag, about 25 feet off the trail. There is a $5 Wawa card for FTF. Log and pencil included – please do not remove the pencil sharpener.
Parts of the trail can be quite muddy after rain. I recommend boots or sturdy shoes with good treads.
Also be mindful that hunting is allowed in this part of the preserve, Sep-Feb, so follow the guidelines for wearing orange, or come on a Sunday.
