Geocache Description:

May we suggest that you please use hand sanitiser before and after finding this cache - thanks 😊 WARNING... PLEASE DO NOT DO THIS CACHE ALONE. THERE HAS BEEN A REPORT OF A MALE EXPOSING HIMSELF TO A FEMALE ON THE PATH IN MARCH 2014

A short and VERY easy Night Cache (after a bright sunny day) to highlight a new feature in Ringwood. DON'T FORGET TO FULLY EXPLORE ALL THE PATHWAYS RIGHT DOWN TO THE STREET TO GET THE FULL GLOWING EXPERIENCE OF THIS AREA!! :-) after you have found the cache (More details below)!!

This is our first Night Cache and is a nice easy find with a lovely surprise at the end for you to explore. Many thanks to Spladem for providing the Night cache reflective material!! Thanks Spladem :-)

Park at the Parking co-ords and then make your way to the listed Waypoint and look for your first reflector. Shine your torch upwards into the trees. Continue looking for more reflectors and so on and so on. Continue up the stone steps to the right of the reflector nearish the tunnel and continue to look for more reflectors. GZ is at the tree which has 2 reflectors on it. If you get to the wire fence you have gone too far.

IMPORTANT!! Now turn your torch OFF and the cache will reveal itself to you. It won't be as visible with your torch on. It works really well on a sunny day. If it has been a dreary day you will need to shine your torch around that tree for a bit before turning it off. The cache camoflauge is indicative of the surprise when you explore this area further.

UNSCREW the cache, do not remove from it's hiding place. See... easy!!!! Lol BUT ... Keep reading about the surprise awaiting you!

P.S. We have had to rehide the cache in a new spot. This tree seems to have lost it's foliage (Apr 2024)so is much easier to spot now. After a dull day, the cache wont light up so will need a boost from your torch.

Once you have logged the cache come back down the hill to the path. Walk along with your torch on for a few steps then turn your torch off and turn around to see the lit up stones. Continue doing this until you come to a spot that even has WORDS written in the glowing stones. Can you read what it says? Have fun shining your torch on the stones to make them glow even more and we hope you enjoy this new feature of Ringwood!!

There is a FTF Prize which didnt fit in the cache so arrangements will be made to get it to the FTF Team, along with some Night Cache reflective material if wanted :-) Thanks again to Spladem! If you want to know more about the ride along here then visit the following link
