Cache is not at the posted coordinates. The posted coordinates are the center of the Circle Pylons of the Gateway LAX project. You must solve the puzzle below to get the final coordinates.

This cache is located close to the Gateway LAX public art project, which is installed on Century Blvd. and starts from Aviation Blvd, culminating in the Circle Pylons on Sepulveda Blvd.
Some information about the piece from the airport: LAX Pylons.
Pictures and description of the project (and some other works) from Ted Tokio Tanaka, the principal designer of Gateway LAX.
LAX truly is a gateway. You can probably start here to get to some far-flung locations across the globe (and maybe even find some geocaches while you're out there!
)
Here's a sample itinerary for getting out of cache-dense Los Angeles and visiting some lonesome caches:
Grand Case, St. Martin, Guadeloupe has a nice beach cache close by. There are also about 8 others on this French side of the island, and another 6 over on the Dutch side, so maybe that's not truly lonesome.
|
Fderik, Mauritania doesn't have a single cache yet, but there is a cache named La Zouérate just 16.5 miles away in Zouérat. No finds as of January 2012, just the CO logging his own cache. A cool FTF opportunity!
|
Anaa, French Polynesia is a tropical atoll, and it looks like a wonderful place to hide a geocache. Don't worry about placing it too close to an existing one; the nearest cache is on Tahiti, *only* about 256 miles away.
|
Mohall, North Dakota, USA has only a single lonely cache, right on the outskirts of the town. Looks like the next nearest cache is 11 miles west of Mohall on 93rd Street NW, or is that North Dakota Highway 5?
|
Assis, São Paulo, Brazil previously had two active geocaches, but now has just one surviving cache. It has not been found yet! There's another First-To-Find opportunity for you. Go get it, you super-geocacher, you!

My original hiding spot was disallowed for being within an airport proximity no-publish area (the gray zone). I've since moved it. Please read below for directions to get the new location:
The coordinates you get from solving the puzzle are for the old hiding spot. To get the new hiding spot - please subtract .006 minutes from the N latitude and subtract .760 minutes from the W longitude. If you want to check your answers for the puzzle *only* you can do so here. Othersize, just do the math and check the final coordinates below.

You can validate the final location with certitude.
New location still has a "little" view of pylons - in the middle and a bit to the east.
FTF goodies are a mini GPSr trackable, homemade FTF tag, and John Adams $1 coin.
Happy solving and happy hunting! Up, up, and away!
Congratulations to imanxman for FTF!
