This shrine is dedicated to Nobunaga Oda who is one of the three heroes of the Warring States period in Japan. This shrine was established in 1870 (Meiji era).
織田信長を祀った神社で、何と明治3年（1870年）に創建された神社だそうです。一般には「けんくんじんじゃ」と呼ばれていますが、正しくは建勲神社と書いて「たけいさおじんじゃ」と読むそうです。
