Well its been a long time coming and here it is Gunner hid a cache in Stewart state forest buffer zone . Don't worry it's not a evil micro , just a good old ammocan . There are many trails in SSF , so the choice is yours on how you get here . I went in from New Rd.
SSF is the home of nearly 150 caches . So with that many, there must plenty of good stories out there about the hunt for a smiley . So I'm asking you to post your favorite story from the buffer zone , with your found it log .
My most memorable was about a week or so after finishing a fun bunch of caches that brought you through the frozen great swamp (which is my next best day in the buff). ObviousOne and I set out to knock a few more caches out to clear out Stewart . All was good until we decided ,lets cross the swamp we did it last week .So to make a long story short . By the time we got across OO had a left a blood trail the whole way from the nasty purple thorns we went through . I had to get pulled from the waist deep muddy snowy ,muck . Glad my boot stayed on .Not to mention the two hundred feet of 10 ft. tall reeds we got lost in . There was also a plane circling us all day , we swore they were watching us two idiots making our on trail .
So let's hear your Tales from the Buff .
There is a cachers best friend travel tag for the FTF . and since that don't take long a free large cup of DD for the second to find
