Geocache Description:

Simple cache - look for parking in Barlaston Village

East of here look for two caches not in the series - the sidetracked and the village cache. Also look for a waypoint for the series multi.

Train travelers please note: Barlaston Station has not had a train stop for nine years. But it does have a 'rail replacement' bus service!

Ermintrude the Cow

The rather surreal cow, self-proclaimed an Ayrshire (despite evidence to the contrary) starred in The Magic Roundabout, a series of over 500 episodes shown between 1963 and 1967. Ermintrude achieved mythical status by about the 1980s. The combination of brightly-coloured imagery and non-sequitur dialogue ensured the English to this day have a soft-spot for her.
Given who the script and voice-over were provided by, we may, if we wish, consider 'Ermintrude' to be Emma Thompson's Auntie. I'm sure she would have been very proud of Emma's Oscars, perhaps remarking (typically) "I never thought I'd say it, but: what a snail!".

“I’m a bus,” Said Ermintrude,
which confused Dylan immensely,
"…and it will be supermarkets and stilton hotels next…” she continued,
which just goes to show.

Mythplaced

This is a 13km (8 mile) loop, mostly in countryside, which can be walked in any order or direction. The series 'bonus' cache is actually a 6-stage multicache interspersed between the series caches, which you can collect on your way round or separately. Walking Notes are in the Series multicache GC3BHE6

There are plenty of options for parking - look near to 'Dragon', 'Ghouls', 'Pegasus' or 'Grææ'.
