WirralWallaces: We have decided to archive several of our caches, As we reached the GZ for this container it became apparent that the landowner has decided to fence off a fairly large section of the field, we checked around several of the stumps however it would seem that the cache has been removed already.

How Geocaching Works

Geocache Description:

This cache is situated along an open but rarely used footpath. The path is well marked and the terrain is generally flat.

This is part of a series of 7 caches on a roughly circular route using some of the lesser used footpaths of Caldy and venturing into Stapledon Woods.

The caches do not need to be done in any particular order.

You will be looking for a cache hidden camouflage bag and will require tweezers to remove the log and a pen to sign your name!

Parking is available at nearby Caldy Club but please be aware that the club tends to be very busy at weekends especially between September and March when the club in inundated with rugby players! You will be able to park here free of charge unless the Caldy First Team are playing in which case you would be asked to pay (something to do with rugby union league rules!) In this case, you will be able to park in Pikes Hey Road but please have some consideration for the residents.

Please also take care with geokids and geodogs when crossing the road towards the trailhead.
