New container and replacement log were put in place during "Gandy Beach Clean Up" a CITO event which took place on 3-31-12. Sorry to all those who looked for the missing cache but if you're in the area again it's back in place. Also note updated coords in log entry
Hidden in a mangrove beach on the shore of Tampa Bay. This place is known by the locals as the Redneck Riviera. Great place to swim and fish, dolphins are often spotted from this beach. Unfortunately you will find some trash in this area, I always pick up a few handfuls when I visit. I'm going to rate this as a 2.5 difficulty, the coordinates should be relatively close but please allow for some variance as this is a heavily treed location. New coordinates current as of 3-31-12. 27degrees 52.415 N 82 degrees 36.113 W. The original container was an Elk with antlers hence the cache name. Apparently someone liked the elk and took it so I have replaced this toy elk with a more generic container. Replacemenmt container has a few small trade items, a log, and the short pencil
