The aliens have landed!
This cache is in the centre of picturesque Havelock North village
When these mysterious "pods" first turned up they caused a great deal of controversy amongst residents of this beautiful village.
Unsure exactly what they were supposed to be, a number of locals surmised that they were in fact pods containing soon to be born alien lifeforms. One of the local bakeries started selling Havelock North pods - basically a cornish pastie with a couple of extra pastry bits to look just like these odd creations.
One of the pods was damaged when a car rolled up on to the roundabout in 2011 and unfortunately for the local sci-fi nuts its was proven to be solid right the way through...
...perhaps that's just the way the Aliens want us to think?
This can be a fairly muggle heavy area during the day - but stop at one of the many local cafes for a coffee while waiting for the right moment!
The cache is an Eclipse mint container - too small for goodies really - and when placed contained a pencil for filling in the log.
