PTPT Black Cockies honours one of the louder birds found on the mountain. It is believed by many Hobartians that when the black cockatoos come down from the mountain that snow is on the way. Bear in mind this is Mount Wellington. It decides randomly what the weather will be and can change at a moments notice. Dress accordingly, and take supplies.
