This is very close to the monkeys lair, this is where we come for nature rambles and bird watching.
The cache is a little way down the track but up a slippery muddy bank, so adventurous catchers will love this. The cache is eye level hidden behind a branch.
BE CAREFUL! There are some pot holes and loose bricks under foot. It is a strange place though, It is a remnant of the old Brynmenyn brick industry, it looks like it could have been part of the railway that linked all the local brick works together, the most famous in the area being Tondu brickworks which was just down the road from this spot.
I wouldn't go wondering in and out of the building though, just in case, it looks a bit dodgy and a bit spooky, the cache is placed outside the building, so you have no need to go in.
Carry on walking down the Bridelway to see a swamp, a bridge to knowhere, sometimes the heron that lives on the beautiful river, the Bridgend to Maesteg express train, shooting range and a spooky walkway to Tondu.
