I have chosen this area so people can either complete a nice circular walk taking in a few caches - or can just do it as a one off.
My kids chose the spot as they thought it was a good hide.
You are looking for a small clip lock box with enough room for small swaps.
The terrain round here can be very wet under foot and you may need waterproof boots or wellies as you may step in a small stream getting the cache. There will be a bit of uphill walking so this may not be for everyone - hence the rating of 2.5.
If you fancy just a park up and walk then head to Langley Road and park opposite Brighton Crescent. There is a footpath that will lead you to the cache.
If you fancy a bit more of a trek then drive up Windmill Street and park up past the Dolphin turning right onto Black Road. There is usually a fair amount of street parking round this area.
There are a number of caches that you can take in on a roughly 4/5 mile walk. You will get some really nice views over Macclesfield, Sutton and Langley as well as a look at the back of Teggs Nose.
First off get the co-ordinates for GC3BDRP before heading up Windmill Street, and enter them into your GPS. You will be able to pick this up en route.
Once parked up head up Windmill Street and over the canal and then bear right up Hollins Road and past the Golf Club and join the path to do GC1DB17.
Follow the path along the Hollins to do GC34HQV.
Then continue to this one.
Follow the footpath down the hill and over the brook and along the path to the road.
A slight detour left and you can take in GC23YMR. Head back down Langley Road and follow it down as it becomes Jarman and eventually turn right onto Byrons Lane. Under the canal bridge and head up the steps on your right, before the pub and join the canal. Turn right and follow the canal picking up the details for the Mutli GC34HRA to do at a later date. Carry on along the canal and pick up GC1RM0Y. Then onto the next bridge and leave the canal here and head North to Macclesfield on London Road, (be careful here as the road is busy) the A523 and past the football ground and get GC23P0P and then GC23JZM. At the bottom of the hill turn right into Byron's Lane and then first left into Gunco Lane and follow this along until it becomes Black Road and you will be back where you started.
When heading back down Windmill Street turn right and follow Knight Street up to GC34HPE.
Apart from the initial hill climb this is a nice easy walk and suitable for children who don't mind getting muddy.
