You've heard of mega-events? This is quite the opposite in a variety of ways...

A Flash Mob is a large group of people who gather at a location, perform some brief action, and then quickly disperse.

Rain, snow, or moonshine this event will take place.

The event will last exactly 15 minutes, not one second longer. It begins at precisely at 8:00 PM on Wednesday 29th February 2012 in Hagerstown, MD.

At exactly 8:00 PM (as determined by your GPS clock) we will place a flag and a container near the the coordinates given . As you arrive a volunteer from Team LPYankeeFan will hand you a log sheet to sign. Bring your own pen. Put the completed sheet into the container. Only people who attend the event and have their names on a log sheet in the box will be able to log this as an event.The log sheets will later become the log book for the event. Anyone else claiming the event will have their log entry deleted.

Itinery:
7:45 - 7:59:59 PM: Arrive in the general area. Hang around looking like a muggle, but most importantly STAY AWAY FROM GROUND ZERO.

8:00:00 PM - A flag and a container will be placed at the coordinates, this signals the start of the event. Quickly go to the coordinates provided for this event, grab a name tag and log sheet. Complete the sheet and put it into the container.

8:05:00 PM - A light snack and drink will be served. If any muggles are curious about the event we will have a volunteer hand out fliers that explain geocaching. There may be several muggles nearby who will wonder "What did I just see? What just happened?" (That's part of the fun!)

8:10:00 PM - A group photo will be taken. Listen to the photographer for directions.

8:12:00 PM - A name drawn from the container will be called out and this person will be FTF for the event.

8:14:00 PM - Mrs. LPYankeeFan will announce 1 minute to go. The container is sealed.

8:15:00 PM - lpyankeefan will call out “Thanks for coming… see you soon” and this signals the end of the event. Quicky leave the area in a disorganized manner.

Events that happen after 08:15:01 are not part of this event.
