Geocache Description:

The Banjul Challenge is a car drive that heads South through Morocco, Western Sahara, Mauritania and Senegal, arriving in Banjul in The Gambia. The first batch of cars went there on December 2002 - and since (almost) every year more groups had been challenging the remote areas and corrupted officers at the border crossings.

There are several geocaches along this route in Africa. Some of them were created specifically by the previous participants of the Banjul Challenge, some by other, more or less similar, challenges (e.g. Ralley Dreseden-Dakar-Banjul, Dust and Diesel Rallye Humanitaire, International Rallye). This cache is a contribution to this pseudo-series (please let me know about other but similar caches that I missed):
The cache location is on the border of the Banc d'Arguin National Park which is a major breeding site for migratory birds - but you can hardly see any birds here because you are really in the desert.
The cache is placed close to the tarmac road in a sparsely populated desert. The spoiler says it all. I would appreciate if the future Banjul Challenge (or other challenges) participants check the place and in case of problems to replace the box. Thanks.
