4.23. Unarchiving a Geocache

The archiving of a geocache is intended to be a permanent status. That is why only community volunteer reviewers and Geocaching HQ staff have the capability to unarchive it. This is done only in rare circumstances and only if it meets the current Geocache Listing Guidelines.

If a geocache is archived by a reviewer or staff for lack of maintenance it will not be unarchived.

Geocache Description:

*** Night ONLY Cache. ***
Please read entire listing before setting out.

This cache has been placed to celebrate our 1000th find.
In keeping with this we thought it appropriate to make it over 1000 Meters each way - have fun.

This night only cache is perfect for a midnight stroll. You will need a headlamp or a torch glued to your forehead, also recommended is sturdy foot ware.
It is mostly on a well formed track, however you will find some mud and water during wet weather.
There are three basic rules.
1. Follow the path.
2. Stay in the light.
3. If you hear something approaching, RUN - "Mwahahahaahhaha"

Pitch Black

Rated - PG

Some, All or None of the information above is true. It is however a very flat & easy 2.6km return trip. Markers on the first 1.2km are sparse, the "LEFT" hand turn off the main path and the rest of the track are well marked.
Once at the end of the markers (indicated by THREE MARKERS placed VERTICALLY together), you will have to take a compass bearing of 28'deg, then pace out TEN steps, you will now need a compass bearing of 315'deg and SEVEN steps will put you at the GZ. When you have recovered the cache you will notice in the lid there will be an exit strategy outlined to get you back on the path - good luck.
