As we conduct Eagle Boards of Review, we often ask the scout
which point(s) they consider the most important, which is the
least, which should be deleted, and what point is missing. So, we
asked one of our patrols of 12 scouts to give us their opinion on
the various points of the Scout Law. They all agreed that "A Scout
is Reverent" is the most important. Ok, then which is the next
important?
Jimmy Z. piped in first. If we obey our values, everything else
falls into place. Tommy agreed with Jimmy Z. He added that as long
as he obeyed his parents and the other rules that are in place,
everything is ok.
Phil said that it is important to be brave. Stating his case
that if you are physically and morally strong, you can be brave
enough to stand up for your values.
Pete asked why we had cheerful in the Scout Law. We should be
that anyway.
Bart felt that it was more important to be thrifty. Not only
thrifty with money, but with our talents and other resources. Don't
take things for granted and use them wisely. (WOW, pretty heavy for
the 13 year old!)
Jimmy Z. didn't like to share an idea. He felt that we should be
helpful. If we help others and think more about the impact of our
actions on how they effect others, all the other things would fall
into place.
Johnny finally spoke up. He said that building on all the
others, if a scout is trustworthy, he is doing all the other things
already.
Please be considerate of the area on certain times and days,
including certain times of the year. Parking is within a few feet
of the final cache.

low, please let me know and why I should adjust.

Congratulations to Phyrebyrd for the FTF, and for his first
