Faded Signs Series #18 - Green Thumb Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

CachingWithBeagles: Like FSS #7, with the clear cutting of the field south of The Green Thumb, the final container for this cache (FSS #18) has disappeared along with any trees in the area.

Thus no longer any trees to hang the container in. Hence, the cache will be archived

Geocache Description:

The Faded Signs Series is a series of mostly easy caches along Highway #4 in Pictou County with a couple of harder ones to find for variety. Cache sizes range from nano to regular. The latest caches may test features of your GPSr that you may or may not know how to use.

This small camoufladged container is not hidden at the posted coordinates. The final cache coordinates must be obtained from a label on the structure at the posted coordinates.

You must then program your GPSr for the coordinates system on the label to find the final cache location. This may or may not be a challenge for some geocachers. The final cache container is well hidden.

Along Highway 4 in Pictou County, there are a number of tourist advertising signs that have faded from use with the construction of Highway 104 through Pictou County.

Normally, only the locals travel along Highway #4 while the tourists and other travelers normally take the four lane express Highway #104 to get through the region on their way to their holiday or business destination.

The cache container is a small well hidden container
All the caches in this series are placed in the proximity of old faded Tourist Signs which may or may not reference past attractions or current old attractions.

Although most of the caches in the series are Winter Friendly and fairly easy terrain to get to with no or minimum bushwhacking, this cache will involve going down a steep slope to get to the final cache location. The cache containers may vary in size but fitting with the hiding spot.

CONGRATULATIONS TO "3Bearss and Canuck Thistles" FOR THE FTF
