There has been a lot of work going on in this park because it is so very new! PLEASE BE CAREFUL FOR THE NEXT FEW WEEKS!!! March or April everything should be close to done. Also there is a MUD ADVISORY getting to the final!
Placed with cooperation from the Republic, Parks & Recreation Department, we are starting a small series of caches in order to raise awareness of some of the area parks and walking trails in and around Republic, MO. The first of which will be the newest "unknown" park recently named Brookline Park. Right now there is a small playground and a few walking trails but this area has alot of potential! Park hours are from 5:00 A.M. to 11:00 P.M.
There is lots of parking and the first cache is nearby. The coordinates for number one are N37 10.124' W093 26.323. Inside the Altoids tin you will find the first part of the final coordinates. The second part of the puzzle can be found at N37 10.117' W093 26.421'. I recommend finding them in this order because there is a mowed path to the final from the second part. There are some very thick areas of brush in the woods here so it might be advisable to stay on the paths as much as possible!!
When you find the final, PLEASE just remove the lid and retrieve the log bag. And as always PLEASE try your best to replace the cache cover the way you found it! There is a small dry creek that runs through this area so watch out after a heavy rain! Also, the last time I was there I saw what appeared to be a herd of deer tracks on the path that has been cut through the woods so don't get trampled!!! HAVE FUN and be watching for more caches in this area to come. Because this park is so new they are still working on it but they are aware that we will be hunting! GOOD LUCK!
