Geocache Description:

This multicache will take you along some of my favorite territory in the PEC. The stages can be done in linear fashion; no need to backtrack. There is also no need to go into the water to retrieve Stage 1. Camo is, for the most part, relatively mild, but I hope you enjoy it.

When I first started caching, my quest for ammo cans to delight my young sons brought me to the PEC. I soon discovered that you can hunt dragons and all sorts of other things in the PEC, and I fell in love with the miles of trails that crisscross this beautiful preserve. But what does a cacher do when he’s exhausted the PEC collection of caches? So I looked at the geocaching map and noticed some huge swaths of woodlands that seemed to be begging for caches. Hmmm . . . .

Enter PEC Generation II, a small little series of caches I have placed in appreciation of the first generation of caches (and their cache owners!) that I hunted when I first started to cache. Taken collectively, these caches fill in some geographical gaps in the PEC, offering a range from micro to small to regular containers, from easy H&G (hike and grabs!) to one that requires a little more thought. Two are fairly close to trails, two others less so. But more than anything, I hope these caches induce some fellow cachers to wander back into the PEC and enjoy its environment.

Thank you for the early caching memories.

Congrats to Night-Hawk on snagging a chilly FTF!
