The Texas Spirit Quest
is a series of Caches placed by
many individuals, near cemeteries and historic sites in hopes of
paying respect to the many pioneer ancestors that have
‘walked’ before
us.
There are hundreds of cemeteries in the rural communities
across Texas. This series will introduce you to many of them. The
cache pages will provide a virtual history tour of the cemeteries,
tombstones and local lore.
There are at least 390 interments here at this primarily Anglo
site, with dates of death ranging from 1868 to
2011.
The grounds seem very carefully maintained, and based on
the evidence of the floral decorations, visitors show up here with
some frequency. This cemetery is situated with a lovely background
view and appears quite tranquil. I ran across this place quite
randomly; most of my TSQ placements are planned in advance, but I
accidentally took a variant route on today's geo-run and just
stumbled across the site. In any case, as always, any refinements
