Located on a footpath outside the Royal Blackburn Hospital near to the helipad.
The cache is a micro cache located very close to the Royal Blackburn Hospital's helipad. (Please note the cache is not on hospital property and is most definitely NOT on the helipad itself-do not get caught out by any landing air ambulances. The cache is on a footpath that runs parallel to the hospital and is located at an area level to the wind sock.
The helipad was finished in 2007 as part of the hospital's redevelopment and is visited frequently by the region's air ambulances. If you happen to be there whilst one is arriving or departing please be aware it can get pretty windy-be careful of the down-draft!!
