Geocache Description:

Welcome to the Seventh WSFTFC sponsored event: FTF #7: First to (the) Forest!
Join us February 18th, from 8-? pm.

*** UPDATE: We'll meet at the pavilion and decide what happens next ***

George Bush Park is a really great place for geocaching. Its even more interesting at night. Bring your flashlights, folding chairs, picnic treats, and water. (NO FIRES) We'll have a fun meeting that's just a little different from the usual fair, in the forest of George Bush Park... AT NIGHT!

Night Time Ninjas will be about I'm sure!

Safe Parking in the nearby Police substation. Its a short hike from there, south, over the bridge, levee... head along the forest east, until you see a good spot to head south to GZ. Wear clothes that are warm, and protect you from thorns. GZ should be in an open area, but getting there will involve light to medium bushwacking (depending on your hiking skill!)

The event will have a log book for you to sign, friends to chat with; BYO snacks and beverages; TBs, coins and tags to trade/ discover; and caching stories to tell. Who knows what we'll see out here!

In the event of bad weather, we will meet at the parking spot. Watch the logs for details.

PS: Events are a great way to put faces to names you see on cache logs and get to know one another. The first thing you'll need to do is "Log Your Visit" and choose "Will Attend" so that the host(s) will know how many folks plan on coming. Once you've attended the event, signed the on-site logbook and are ready to 'claim the find' online, just choose the "Attended" log, write something up and that's it!
