The cache is a 35mm film canister, log sheet and pencil.
Most visitors I know who drive to Kariba stop at one of the two huge baobab tree lay byes alongside the Kariba / Makuti road to stretch their legs. Drivers of course always have a cup of coffee from the flask and the more festive holiday makers may indulge in other drinks! It’s the perfect breakfast stop. The stop is generally known as the Wee Wee Tree Lay bye, no further explanation is needed!
Monkeys and Baboons tend to tip the bins provided so please take your litter with you.
The road from Makuti to Kariba follows the elephant trails and therefore has steep inclines, sharp corners, steep verges and rock fall cliffs. Drive with extreme care.
