Geocache Description:

I have been out looking for a location to hide my first cache, and this spot just jumped out at me while I was driving by the other day. When you get to this cache location, you will be standing very close to the location of the old 17th green at War Memorial Golf Course. While growing up, I played lots of golf here, many times hitting from right around this tree to try to get back to the green just to the west.

Recent changes to the golf course modified the layout, moving the 17th hole across Fair Park and making way for a a nice little park area with a grand entrance off of Markham in the spot where the old 17th hole stood. This is nice landscaped spot, often visited by workers on lunch break looking to enjoy a nice sunny day. However, when the Razorbacks are in town for a football game, this area is packed with Hog fans looking to root the team to victory!

There is quite a bit of traffic on Fair Park adjacent to this area so be careful with kids and pets, as well as the prying eyes of drivers waiting on the lights to change. Golf balls shouldn't be a concern, but part of the course is nearby so please respect the golfers while they play.

You are looking for a bison tube (slightly larger than the typical) with a log only, so please bring your own writing utensil.

This is a city of Little Rock park, so do not look for this one after park closing (10pm). Please replace the camo as close to the original to keep this one away from the muggles! Good luck and happy hunting!
