Basic cache in the vicinity of the largest (?) pine-tree in Teisko.

Teiskon suurin (?) mänty sijaitsee Kivirannassa. Se on rauhoitettu ja on karttoihin merkitty nimellä "Ryssän mänty". Sillä nimellä se on tunnettu Suomen sodasta (1800-luvun alkupuolelta) lähtien. Mänty lienee noin 300-vuotias.
Sanotaan, että männyn juurelle haudattiin useita paikallisessa taistelussa menehtyneitä venäläissotilaita. Sanotaan myös, että pimeällä männyn juurella kummittelee.
Kätkö ei ole itse männyssä. Männyn kohdalla ei myöskään ole pysäköintipaikkaa autolle; jos tulet autolla, huomioi että paikalliset vataset pääsevät turvallisesti ohi.

The largest (?) pine-tree of Teisko is located in Kiviranta. It is protected and has been marked on maps by the name "Ryssän mänty" (i.e. "the pine-tree of the Russians.") It has been known by this name since the Finnish war (beginning of 19th century). It is estimated the pine is some 300 years old.
It is said that many russians who lost their lives in local battles have been buried by the tree. It is also said, in the dark the place is haunted.
The cache is not in the pine-tree itself. There is no parking near the pine-tree for your car. If you arrive by car, please make sure local drivers can pass you by safely.
