Micro Downtown Tour Multi-Cache

This cache has been archived.

Reviewer Revan: Cache Owner (CO) has not responded, so I am regretfully archiving this cache to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking new cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace this cache sometime in the future (not to exceed 10 days from the date of this entry), just contact me (by e-mail), and assuming it still meets the current Guidelines, I will consider unarchiving this cache.

Please be advised this is not a guarantee that this geocache will be unarchived. Many factors will go into my decision. The most important of which is how you responded to geocachers who tried to communicate with you regarding the problem(s) with this geocache hide and how you communicated with me, the Reviewer Revan.

Geocache Description:

This is a short little multi-cache to tour a few sites of downtown Dallas. All stages are easily within walking distance and likely the easier alternative to driving and the need to find parking along the way.

The first three stages of this multi are all virtual caches. There is no cache to find at these locations, just some sights to take in and information to gather. When you have collected all the needed data, the final stage is a very short distance away and has a matchstick container for the log.

Stage 1: At the posted coordinates
Here you will find a stone with a small plaque to commemorate the location of City Hall and the Main Fire Department back in the day. Take the first number in the dimensions of the building for B and from the years the building was there take the decade number for F.

Stage 2: Walk 2 blocks west on Commerce Street
Here you will find a memorial to John F. Kennedy with a plaque describing the monument. Take note of the name of the designer and the number of letters in his last name will be E. Also, you may notice an unusual 8-letter word for the design of this monument. Using A=1, B=2, etc., the first letter of this word will be D.

Stage 3: Walk 2 blocks south on Market Street
Here you will find Lubben Plaza and the home of three pieces of art for you to enjoy. For C, add all the digits of the year the plaza was created and subtract twenty-one. Read up on the "Journey to Sirius" and discover the African Society that was its inspiration. The number of letters of that ethnic group from the Republic of Mali is A.

Final Stage: Place all the collected data points into the coordinates N32 46.ABC W96 48.DEF. Here you may find some reading materials. May I recommend the materials in the upper far left?

I hope you enjoyed this little downtown tour!
