This is a mystery cache. The posted coordinates will take you to this historic bridge. To find the actual cache coordinates, take the path from the parking lot towards the bridge, there is a sign describing Pioneer Park. Note the year of the first settler's home. October AB, CDEF Substitute the numbers into this formula to locate the cache coordinates: N 39. 3D. 3DF, W D9. 39. F58. Happy caching!
This is a very historic, scenic covered bridge not too far from the state capitol of Springfield. The bridge is open from dawn to dusk. Parking is available. Thank you to the Illinois Department of Revenue for permission to place the cache at this historic site! On the path to the bridge, a sign describing Pioneer Park will give clues to the actual cache location. There is a trail on the other side of the bridge that is an easy hike to the cache. The park is open from dawn to dusk. Please be respectful of the surroundings.
