Geocache Description:


This cache is a magnetic nano. It is located at the heart of the village of Aspull.

As it is a nano you will need to bring your own pen to sign the log

Be aware that this location can be very busy at times so ultra stealth may be required. so expect a high number of muggles to be present so please be extra vigilant when searching for and replacing this cache.

Aspull is a village within the Metropolitan Borough of Wigan, in Greater Manchester, England but historically in Lancashire. Aspull, along with Haigh, is surrounded on all sides by open agricultural greenbelt land, separated from Westhoughton, on its southeast side, by a brook running through Borsdane Wood, and boasts views towards Winter Hill and the West Pennine Moors. It has a population of 4,977.
Aspull was once a centre of mining and textile manufacture, though little evidence of this can be seen in the village today. Haigh Country Park estate lies to the west.

The term "Marrow" is a local phrase used by the people of Aspull and refers to People who were born in the village or have lived in the here for over 25 years. It is thought to come from the term "Moorer" which refers to Aspull Moor.

The location is very well provided for in terms of paths and can be easily reached by pushchairs etc.
