Feet Wet, or Feet Dry? Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

GeoElmo6000: Today I went to remove my original "Saddle River Bike Path" final's geo-trash, as it's been archived since May. The final was close to this cache. I went over to perform necessary maintenance on this cache, and made an on-the-spot decision to archive it instead. The area has become overgrown since I hid it and Hurricane Sandy didn't help either. I had fun hiding this cache and reading the logs. All good things must come to an end.

Geocache Description:

There are two ways to find this cache: feet wet, or feet dry. Check the waypoints for the starting location of both options.

Choosing the feet wet option will give you about a 200 foot journey from the Saddle River bike path to the geocache. In your way, however, is the Saddle River. It's normally pretty shallow near the cache, but be prepared to get your feet (or boots, or shoes) wet in the process. This is the manner in which I hid the cache.

Choosing the feet dry option will give you a half mile trek on an easy trail along the side of the Saddle River opposite the bike path. It's an easy hike, but a lot farther of a trip than the feet wet option.

The cache is a small camo'd lock-n-lock container, small but large enough for a notebook, pencil, and a couple trade items.

Please be careful in taking the feet wet option. If the river is running high or you do not feel that it is safe to cross the river, take the feet dry option! That's why there are two options!

Per the rules of geocaching, a Found It log must correspond to a signed logbook.

Happy caching!
