Welcome to the Sailing Rings series:
Important note: THIS SERIES WILL BE ARCHIVED ON THE 30th SEPTEMBER 2013 - We would like to thank the many cachers who have taken the time to attempt these caches, it has made the challenge of setting this series a very worthwhile cause.
RED RING by TEAMKWEST
There are 11 unknown/puzzle type caches in this ring and each cache contains information that you will need to collect in order to find the RED RING BONUS cache. For more information on the series click HERE or click on the "Related Web Page"link above.

The Sailing Race.

You are in a sailing race. The rules are as follows:


  1. Enter the course at the "Start line" (arrow at top left) and exit the course at the "finish line" (arrow bottom right).
  2. Whilst on the course you must go through AT LEAST one gusty patchGusty patch, but you can go through more if you wish.
  3. You must also tackle one large wave Large Wave(one only) and one windsurfer Windsurfer(one only).
  4. To complete the course you must visit every empty part of the course (every blank square), again only once and without crossing any of the barriers (thick lines).
  5. Last but not least, you can move in any direction except diagonally.

Once you have found the correct route through the course and reached the finish line, the final coordinates will be revealed in red numbers along the route you took. There is only one solution, as long as you follow all of the rules. Cache has gone twice now so has unfortunately had to be moved. Once you have solved the puzzle, please add 0.008 to the northings and subtract 0.012 from the westings to find the cache.< /span>
