Small cache placed to commemorate the escape of Djjohnmerry from his tecchie teaching job at the nearby college. We shall miss the lunchtime caching!
Can be accessed on footpath that runs between nearby college and Hilly Fields.
Cache was placed by John and his fellow CI cachers just before he left : (
For you non-technies in computing the 404 or Not Found error message is a HTTP standard response code indicating that the client was able to communicate with the server, but the server could not find what was requested.
The web site hosting server will typically generate "404 - Not Found" web page, when users attempt to follow a broken or dead link, hence the 404 error is one of the most recognizable errors users can find on the web

So we thought we would have our own cache as a kind of leaving box with some geeky IT bits and bobs as I teach the world of computers we thought we could leave a cache close by as a reminder. *Original box lost in the nettles and replaced with micro in Oct 2017*
The name was born thanks to Platypus142 after the wonderful help in supporting the students in which they were introduced to the world of IT and the 404.
I have meet some great people at CI and this cache is something that will always make me remember the great times there"
Cache is placed with kind permission of Colchester Council (Hilly Fields Local Nature Reserve).
