Higashi Park The plateau in the southern area of this park was once paddy fields called Neishigahara.The ponds within the park were created to provide water for the paddy fields.Nowadays there are many ways to enjoy the park throughout the four seasons including walking through the hills and enjoying the cherry blossoms,irises,and autumn leaves.The park also features a small zoo,and the tombstone of Okazaki. Please bring a pen. -----Japanese----- 公園の南一帯の洪積台地は、かつて根石ヶ原と呼ばれた水田地帯でした。東公園にある大小の池は、その水田に水を引くために作られたものです。池を囲む丘陵を遊歩道が巡り、桜、菖蒲、紅葉などが楽しめます。 屋外特別展示 旧本多忠次邸は、旧岡崎藩主本多家の末裔にあたる本多忠次が昭和７年に東京・世田谷に建てた住宅と壁泉の一部を移築し復元したものです。 --開館時間-- 午前９時～午後５時（入館は午後４時半） --休館日-- 月曜日（月曜日が祝日の場合は翌日以降の最初の休日でない日） １月１日～３日、１２月２９日～３１日、展示替期間 ペンをご持参ください。
